APPLICATION

The CJC™ Insert EC 27/27 is used in CJC™ Fine Filters and ideal for reduction of the neutralisation number of, for example:  

 HFD-Fluids (Phosphoric Ester) 

 Transformer oils (Insulating oils)

 Crankcase lube oils (gas engines)

CJC™ EC 27/27 Inserts neutralise acidiccomponents in the fluid created by hydrolysiscaused by high thermal load or water contamination.These components in the operating fluid notonly lead to corrosion, deposits and reducedlubricity but also function as a catalyst andaccelerate further oxidation and acidification ofthe fluid.

For HFD-Fluids a maximum neutralisation numberof 0.5 is recommended.Neutralisation number: indicating the amount ofpotassic hydroxide (KOH) in mg necessary for bindingthe free acids contained in 1 g of the fluid.

Neutralisation capacity of a EC 27/27(approximate values):

0.06 with 1,000 litres fluid

0.03 with 2,000 litres fluid

0.015 with 4.000 litres fluiddimensions
